Small Business Plays Big Role
Engility understands how important small businesses are: They attract pioneering talents that swiftly respond to new market initiatives and are key in driving innovation. These same qualities have shaped Engility's commitment to our customers' missions, to our employees and to our small-business partners.
Enduring Partnerships, Proven Practices
We believe in partnering to achieve success. This approach leads to long-term relationships built on mutual trust and respect. Engility has tested, implemented and refined its successful techniques and processes in real-life, demanding situations around the world. And these programs have lasting impact.
A Commitment to Growing Small Business
Engility's policy is to subcontract with a diverse base of contractors in order to provide maximum benefit to our customers.
It is also our policy to develop small businesses' capabilities and pursue opportunities to award business to them and similar groups, including Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDBs), Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs), Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Businesses, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and Minority Institutions (MIs) and other size standard categories as defined by FAR 52.219-1 and in accordance with FAR 52.219-8.
In support of these objectives, Engility has established a supplier diversity program to enable such businesses to provide goods and services to our industry. We also participate in the SBA-sanctioned Mentor-Protégé program with TechWise.
We consider qualified subcontractors and suppliers fairly in competition for requirements falling within their demonstrated capabilities.
