Engility Wins Volpe Center TMIS Contract

12/08/2011: Engility was selected as one of six prime contractors for a five-year IDIQ contract to support the John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) on the Traffic Management Infrastructure Systems (TMIS) Program. The Volpe Center is the United States’ leading Transportation Research and Development Center, and is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (U.S. DOT), Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA). Their work is performed for the U.S. DOT and other federal, state, local, and international agencies and entities.

This effort includes work in the areas of Strategic Planning and Architecture Analysis, Air Traffic Management (ATM) Systems, Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Systems, Automatic Dependent Surveillance –Broadcast (ADS-B), Communication Systems, System Engineering, and System Innovative Technologies.
